Every year, on May 22nd we gather in more than 100 cities, more than 15,000 attendees in total to celebrate the Bitcoin Pizza Day.

But... why do we organize a worldwide pizza party on a Thursday night?

It's been 15 years since Bitcoin was first used to purchase a real-world asset. On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.msg1141#msg1141). Today it's over $800 million!
