Mussa Coral Fest – Art, Science & Reef Conservation #1

Date
Saturday, Mar 29, 2025 12:00 PM EST to 12:45 PM EST

Mussa Coral Fest is a groundbreaking initiative that merges art, music, and science to promote the conservation and restoration of coral reefs in the Mexican Caribbean. Spearheaded by marine biologist Johanna Calle and event producer Lucas Tomasello, this project uses cultural and educational experiences to engage communities in protecting these vital ecosystems.

Since its inception in 2024, the festival has hosted eight events featuring live music, visual arts, and workshops on coral biology and restoration. Attendees not only enjoy artistic performances but also gain hands-on experience in conservation efforts, such as local beach restoration activities. Inspired by the Muses of Greek mythology, Mussa Coral Fest embodies a unique blend of creativity and environmental stewardship, demonstrating how interdisciplinary collaboration can drive impactful change.

This Unlock Protocol event offers participants an exclusive opportunity to learn about Mussa Coral Fest’s mission, achievements, and future goals. Attendees will explore how art and science converge to address critical environmental challenges while discovering ways to contribute to coral reef conservation.
